We are Jurton – where nature, quality, and innovation come together to create a bond that stands the test of time. Wood is our material, our passion, and our future. Welcome to our world!
WOOD / Natural
Slovakia boasts a strong tradition in wood processing. Few people know that the country is home to two “primary” forests, a privilege enjoyed by only a handful of places in Europe. Slovak forests are a sanctuary of immense biodiversity, hosting complex and ancient ecosystems. They are home to a vast array of mammals, birds, and amphibians—many of which can no longer be found anywhere else in Europe—a truly unique privilege.
Life in Slovak forests is always in motion! There’s no Wi-Fi here, but the connection is the best in the world! Nature’s elements exist in perfect harmony. Each tree cools the air as effectively as 19 air conditioners—and they’re always running, providing an endless source of natural energy!

WOOD / Renewable
According to the Green Report, more than 40% of new forests have emerged through natural regeneration. In Slovakia, 45 cubic meters of new wood grow every minute—the equivalent of 70 truckloads per hour. A natural and inexhaustible open-air mine! Every 2.6 seconds, one cubic meter of a tree trunk takes shape, capturing 250 kg of carbon and retaining 400 liters of water.
Effective management of the National Forestry Economy from 1990 to the present has enabled a 45% increase in carbon stocks within forest biomass. A unique fact is that the annual logging volume remains below 80% of the sustainable limit. Logging quotas are lower than those of our Austrian and Czech neighbors!

WOOD / Reliable
The state is the largest forest owner in Slovakia, managing resources directly through planning that ranks among the most efficient and modern in Europe, comparable to Germany and Switzerland. As much as 57.7% of Slovakia’s forests are PEFC-certified, ensuring a safe and efficient supply chain for the responsible use of forest resources.
Jurton has grown within these environmental values and, in its own small way, has contributed to making Slovakia what it is today: a green place in the heart of Europe! Since 1993, Jurton has been a partner of the state enterprise Slovak State Forests, and since 2012, it has been part of the PEFC-certified supply chain. We process wood with the utmost respect!

WOOD / Ecological
Care and environmental protection go hand in hand with modern and efficient forest management. Forests cover as much as 40% of the national territory. Wood is a true and authentic natural reservoir for storing CO2 from the atmosphere—up to 122 tons per hectare of forest. This makes Slovakia the seventh country in Europe with the highest amount of stored carbon!
In this “green spot in the heart of Europe,” something remarkable is happening: since 1990, effective management of the National Forestry Economy has led to a 45% increase in carbon stocks within forest biomass. A unique fact is that the annual logging volume remains below 80% of the sustainable limit. People often say, “But Slovakia is a small country!” However, we know that our forests are giants in nature conservation and ecological values.
